Checkpoints
There are 15 checkpoints across the three routes. Refer to the routes pages to see which checkpoints apply to each route.
This is the start location for the Scout event and is located in the village of Pangbourne.

This is the first checkpoint arrived at by Scout hikers. It is located near to the village of Goring-on-Thames.

This is the third checkpoint arrived at by Scout and Ridgeway Challenge hikers. It is also a major refreshment and first aid point. The checkpoint is on part of The Ridgeway.

This is an off-road checkpoint on the Ridgeway. It is visited by all hikers.
This location is in the village of Blewbury Recreation Ground It is visited by Ridgeway Challenge and Tim's Junket hikers.

This off-road location checkpoint and is visited by all hikers. The location is by an old railway bridge that was once part of the DNSR.
This location is visited by Ridgeway Challenge teams. It is located between Blewbury and Catmore on The Ridgeway.

This location is visited by Ridgeway Challenge teams. It is located between East Hendred and East Ilsley in the tiny hamlet of Catmore.

This location is based at the Ilsleys Primary School in East Ilsley and is visited by all hikers.
This off-road location and is visited by all hikers. It is located between East Ilsley and Compton.
This location is based at Compton Scout HQ in the village of Compton in West Berkshire. It provides a finish location for all hikers.
